Join us this winter for Cultivate, classes designed to help you grow and meet other people from Woodland Hills at the same time! Classes are typically offered on Tuesdays evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Child care is provided for children birth through fifth grade. The winter session runs for thirteen weeks, depending on the class. The first round of classes is beginning Tuesday, January 17th,  and the second round of classes begins on Tuesday, March 7th. There is also a class beginning on Monday, January 23rd, and a class beginning on Sunday, February 5th. The class fee is $5 unless otherwise specified.

Good Dollar and Sense

This three week class will help identify areas where we can make improvements in our financial situation and a plan that works to reach financial goals.

Facilitators: Mary Anderson and various others
Facilitator Bios: Mary has been at WH for over 20 yrs and has taught on the subject on finance for over 10 yrs. Nick Larson, financial planner with Thrivent financial, will also teach. Sue Schaaf, and Jamie Hagerty, Good Sense volunteers will also teach.

Tools for Understanding the Bible

Have you ever read a passage of Scripture and wondered, “What does this mean?”, but felt lost as to where to start to find any answers? If so, this class is for you! During these 6 weeks you will be equipped with tools to make going deeper into Scripture less intimidating, more exciting and… fun!

Facilitator: Amy Bogott
Facilitator Bio: Amy has been at WH for 5 years. She has helped in Woodland Hills’ Lay Counseling program. Amy is a social worker by training, spent 6 years on the mission field and is currently working for a non-profit in St Paul.

Practicing Forgiveness

Forgiveness is one of the most mysterious practices we are to engage in as Kingdom people. Yet, forgiveness is necessary for relationships to grow. We will consider what forgiveness looks like, how to forgive, and explore what Jesus means when He tells us to forgive.

Facilitator: Jill Jerabek
Facilitator Bio: Jill received her M.Div from Bethel and is a certified life coach who combines theology with practical everyday living. She is a covenant partner, serving with WH for 10 years as a table group facilitator and Cultivate instructor.

A Renewed Mind

Peace is promised in abundance. Yet so often the soundtrack of our life plays songs of shame, anxiety and fear. Your thoughts have a lot of power and the mind is the pathway to peace. In this course we’ll learn the science and theology of the brain and engage in the practice of renewing the mind.

Facilitator: Brianna Millet
Facilitator Bio: Brianna has attended Woodland Hills for 6 years and has taught several other classes during Cultivate. Brianna has taught a few classes at Bethel College and has preached a few sermons at Woodland as well. She loves this place because to her it is family!

Is there a way to register for the classes online? The bulletin states you can but I don’t find any link above-only by “stopping by the Hello Desk”.
