We truly are in a war zone of ‘Spiritual’ dimensions. And as Greg pointed out, no matter what goes down in this volatile life, there are no guarantees except that our eternal destiny in Christ and our unsurpassable worth to Him, have been demonstrated on The Cross and in the beauty of His Resurrection.

I want to apologize to any and all here if my ‘NPD comment’ from last week was sarcastically below the belt. It has been incredibly difficult however, as we all know, not to get pulled into the political and social polemic that seems to be more intense than ever these days.

There are a thousand such examples out there, but I saw this vid a couple of days ago and it completely blew me away!

Life is so incredibly fragile and it hangs in the balance for so many. I’m utterly convicted and convinced that we too need to ‘dig others out” through proactive Christ-like love, patience and forgiveness and not to allow ourselves to be sucked into the whirlwind of political melodrama.

Can podrishioners join the Heavy Hearts group? My church doesn’t offer anything like this. Is there a outline available for this type of group that I could give to my pastor to start a similar group? There would have to be a model to conduct this type of group otherwise it could turn into depressed people’s commiserations instead of finding hope and progress. I would appreciate information. Thanks. Wonderful sermon.

Hello Julie,

Thanks for your question! I will put you in touch, via email, with someone on staff here with The Refuge. They will be able to answer your questions about the ‘Hope for a Heavy Heart’ group!

Needed this. Read a quote from Jesus about hell the other day and it was terrifying.
