Project Home provides overnight shelter for families who are temporarily without housing after the Family Service Center Shelter in Maplewood is at capacity. Through collaboration with the Saint Paul Area Council of Churches, two different area churches, synagogues or schools host Project Home each month. Each host site has 20 beds for families and the majority of guests are children.

Woodland Hills will be hosting Project Home during October and November. We will need over 150 volunteers to help serve the families that will need shelter for the night. Evening volunteers help the families get settled in, make a light snack, help with childcare or homework and just hang out and talk with the families. Overnight volunteers stay overnight at the church with the families (you’ll have a cot in a separate room), and help set up breakfast in the morning.

We look forward to blessing the families that come our way and maybe even making some new friends. Please pray for Project Home from now through November.
