Each fall during our our “Season of Giving” we offer several ways to share our time and resources. This year we’ve partnered with ministries that serve children and young people. We realize that it may be helpful for you to know ahead of time what opportunities will be available during our Season of Giving so you can better choose which one(s) you’d like to participate in.
Below is a list of the ministries we’ll support this year during our Season of Giving:
- Esperanza Viva, October 20-21 – Esperanza Viva Youth Homes rescue, train, nurture, and rehabilitate underprivileged, orphaned, abandoned, and street children and youth in Mexico whose families are unable or unwilling to provide for them.
- House of Hope Youth Center, October 27-28 –This small church in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis has created a safe place for young people to hang out, particularly the young Somali men of the community.
- Christian Operation for Health, Education and Development (COFHED), November 3-4 – COFHED has been a partner ministry of Woodland for many years; their mission is to engage in long-term community-led development in southern Haiti.
- Nibakure Children’s Village (NCV), November 10-11 – With the help of the widows of Rwanda, NCV will provide orphaned children of Rwanda with safe housing, a foster family, healthcare, education and career training.
