Recently, MinnPost, a Minnesota news web site, published an article exploring the question, What should the role of the faith community be in helping the poor? In the article, they talk about our upcoming interfaith forum on Suburban Homelessness.
On Tuesday, February 8, Woodland Hills is hosting an interfaith conference on Suburban Homelessness. Greg will be the keynote speaker.

In his new book, “Thieves in the Temple: The Christian Church and the Selling of the American Soul, ” author Jeff MacDonald asks the question, how do we practice an authentic faith in a world of consumer-driven congregations? While writing and researching the book, he visited Woodland Hills and interviewed Greg.

On April 20 the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded, killing eleven people and injuring 17 others. It also created an oil leak that has pumped millions of gallons of oil into the water off the Louisiana coast. At the time I’m writing this, some experts are claiming this has the potential to become one of the worst environmental disasters ever.
Greg and Bruxy Cavey (Speaking Pastor of The Meeting House) were recently guests on The Drew Marshall radio show. Among other things, they talked about non-violence and whether Christians should be in the military.
