Each year, Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a special time set aside to intentionally focus on Jesus’ life, ministry, sacrifice and resurrection. In the past, we came together as a church for a simple meal and an interactive service to help us prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter. Though things look a little different this year, we still want to make space for reflection and active participation.
That’s why we’re hosting an Ash Wednesday Drive-Thru on February 17 at 6pm. Similar to our Advent drive-thru late last year, participants can safely pick up an activity box from the comfort of their car. A devotional guidebook will be included for teenagers and adults, as well as a companion coloring book for children.
If you aren’t able to make it to the drive-thru, don’t worry! We wanted to make sure everyone could participate, so check out the resources at the top of the page. The only thing not included are the ashes. 😉
