A Woodland Hills’ Community Group (formerly called Covenant Group) is a small group of people who have joined together to follow Jesus Christ: growing in love as his disciples and displaying God’s love to the world both individually and together. (Matthew 22:34-40)
They seek growth in the practices of Kingdom living: loving God, self, others and creation by studying God’s Word, caring for others more than themselves and generously sharing their resources (i.e. time, money, gifts) with each other, their neighborhoods and the world. (Acts 2:42-27, Philippians 2:1-18, John 17:20-23, Matthew 28:18-20)
They explore additional opportunities for discipleship growth as provided by Woodland Hills and engage as the Lord leads, knowing that responding to the call of Jesus to follow will involve some practical and relational changes. (2 Peter 1:5-8, 2 Timothy 1:6-10, 13-14)
A Community Group is supported and equipped through reciprocal relationships with a Coach and Discipleship Pastor.
