Looking for answers? Want to grow in Christ? Check out Discover Jesus, a course that explores what it really means to follow Jesus. It is geared towards adults 18 and over who are new to faith in Christ and those who are curious or have questions about the Christian faith. The FREE course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner during 13 thought-provoking sessions. It’s low key, friendly and fun!
During the teaching time, Greg Boyd and Paul Eddy will address some of the basic aspects of the life of following Jesus. Small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the teaching. Topics include:
- Faith Struggles / Why Take Jesus Seriously?
- What is God Really Like?
- What’s Wrong with the World?
- Why Did Jesus Have to Die?
- What is the Kingdom of God?
- How Do We Enter and Live in the Kingdom of God?
- How Do We Pray and Worship?
- Who is the Holy Spirit and What Does the Spirit Do?
- How Do We Practice the Presence of God’s Spirit?
- What is the Church?
- Why and How Should We Read the Bible?
- How Does God Guide Us?
- What Do I Do With the Rest of My Life?
Nightly Schedule
6:45-7:00 p.m. — Children’s ministry check in and announcements
7:00-8:00 p.m. — Talks on various subjects
8:00-9:00 p.m. — Small group discussion (beginning on 2nd week)
Children’s Ministry will be available for children birth through 6th grade. Check-in will begin at 6:45 p.m.
