Do people ever join this seasonally?

July 1, 2013

Hi Olivia-

The season of life for the Resonate age group is all about transition, so yes, some folks have participated for shorter amounts of time. The House Group setting on Wednesday nights is always open to people, no matter how often they can come or whether they are able to make a long-term commitment. The mentoring would be a different story, but a decision on that is not required for participation in House Group.

This Wednesday one of the students is hosting a bonfire and worship night at her house, so there is a change of location. Next week we’ll be back to our regular summer spot. Email me if you want the address to where we meet or for any more details. Hope to have you join us soon!

It seems like the mega-church model is just about a big, weekend show. How do you respond to that and how is Resonate different (if it is)?

July 11, 2013

Hey Martin-

I’ll address your question here briefly but invite you to call or email me directly if you want to talk further about it.

You may have noticed in the description of the ministry that Resonate is focused on home gatherings of up to15 people and individual mentoring. The strategy is to invite young adults into meaningful interactions where they can know and be known. So, while we are very much part of WHC and explore the Kingdom along the same vein as what takes place on the weekends, our environment is quite different.

Thanks. Good post

April 16, 2015

Hi, I was just wondering if there was any ministry or small groups for people aged 24 and over

April 21, 2015

Hi James,

Good question! We have a few different ministries that people over the age of 24 are welcome to attend. Among other things, we offer classes through a program called Cultivate, there’s a Men’s Bible Study that meets here at the church twice a week, and we offer discussion tables whenever we are in a sermon series. Shoot an email to and I will get you connected to someone who can give you more information and answer your questions!

I am wondering about the size of the Young Adults group? Does it tend to be on the larger or smaller size?

September 7, 2016

Hi Kylie!

Our house groups are typically 8-16 people or so. :) We feel that’s the ideal size for everybody to get to contribute, be heard, and start to get to know each other.

Shoot me an email if you have any other questions! ( We kick off TONIGHT at WH (7-9 pm) — we’d love to meet you!
