Missions FAQ

Woodland Hills has sent teams for short-term missions trips to Mexico, Haiti, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Jamaica, and Sturgis, South Dakota.

How can I get involved in missions at Woodland Hills?

  1. We suggest you attend Woodland Hills for a while before you get involved. Through prayer, make sure that this is the expression of the body of Christ to which you are going to be committed.
  2. Attend a Discover Woodland Hills class to understand more about what our church believes and how we operate.
  3. Fill out a Volunteer Questionnaire and eventually meet with Steve Schmidt, our Missions Pastor.
  4. When you have selected a mission opportunity, meet with the leader of that group and complete the training process. We believe that training and consistent evaluation will make your experience more fulfilling and less stressful.

For more information on short-term missions opportunities, please contact Steve Schmidt (Missions Pastor) at 651-287-2060 or sschmidt@whchurch.org or Laurie (Missions Coordinator) at 651-287-2066 or lpreston@whchurch.org.
