Woodland Hills is a big place and some folks can easily feel lost in the crowd and miss out on real relationships and community. You may recognize a face here or there, or maybe you think you remember that person’s name who always sits in the row in front of you at the service. But you’re not quite sure and don’t want to ask. And you’d think that in a church this size there have to be at least a few people who live near you, right? But how would you know?
The Table is a customized Woodland Hills web site that serves as a way to connect with other WH people online. It’s like an online directory just for our church, only one that allows you to meet other folks with common interests. But the goal of the Table isn’t to help you make online friends. Rather, it’s to make online connections that lead to face to face connections… real relationships and community. After all, if you’re able to connect online with someone who lives near you or shares a similar interest, that makes it more likely you’ll connect with them in person.
To sign up on the Table, just click on the link below!
Outside the United States? Unfortunately, the Table is not currently set up to accept addresses outside the US, but you can still join! Just put in your street address as normal, but for “State” put in MN and for “Zip” put in 55109. Sorry for the hassle!
(The Table Project is working on international support. Find out more about it on their blog.)
