Start Date: Nov 22, 2021

Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a widely practiced therapeutic approach that offers helpful practices and exercises to help us grow. As we learn to accept the stream of our thoughts and our emotions, we are more able to seek first the loving reign of the Kingdom of God and put that love into action living out the values of the Kingdom.

In this four-week class we will briefly consider the six core principles of ACT, particularly focusing on diffusion and values-committed action.

This class will help you take important steps toward transformation into Christlikeness through the renewal of your mind. Come ready to learn, pause and reflect as we invite Jesus to help us find rest, inner freedom and purpose.

Monday evenings, 7-8:15pm CT

Class Format: Online via Zoom
Duration: 4 weeks
Instructor(s): Rob Kistler and Sarah Monaghan

Rob has attended Woodland since 2001 and been on staff since 2010. He and his wife live on the East Side of St. Paul where they share a passion for seeing people healed from a wounded heart. Rob definitely prefers pie and lattes to Pilates.

Sarah Monaghan recently moved to Minnesota from Wichita, KS where she taught at Friends University. She lives in Roseville with her husband and four young kids, seeking to find the transforming presence of Jesus in the mundane and earthy rhythms of life.
