Adult Printmaking Workshop

Start Date: Oct 22, 2020

Get your creative side on with linocut relief printing! This is an awesome opportunity to start preparing homemade cards and gifts for the holidays. So, what is it exactly? In this workshop we’ll create designs and carve them out on soft linoleum blocks. It’s similar to making a stamp. Then we’ll roll ink onto the carved designs and impress them on paper. You’ll get an overview of the whole process for making two prints: 4×6 and 8×10.

Participants can purchase a printmaking kit from Woodland for $70 or they can find the supplies on their own. Supply list coming soon! Limited half scholarships are available for those who are attending in-person but cannot afford the supplies.

*Note this workshop is for adults only. Some of the carving tools are too sharp for children.

Registration limited. Deadline October 15.

Thursday nights, 7:00-8:00pm CT

*Please read before registering: COVID Safety Precautions

Class Format: In-person with the option of online teaching and discussion via Zoom
Duration: 5 weeks
Outside Work: Please note, what you do not finish in class should be completed at home for the next lesson. Whatever is not completed will set you behind in the printing process.
