Theological disagreement has been a part of the church almost since the very beginning. Unfortunately, debates about theological issues have usually brought more heat than light, often leading to bitter anger, broken relationships, and tragic divisions within the body of Jesus. In this class, we will consider a number of controversial theological topics together – things like:
- Is the Bible really inerrant?
- Does God only elect certain people for salvation?
- Can a Christian lose their salvation?
- Does the Bible support women holding leadership positions in the church?
In the process, we will learn how we can seek theological truth together in love – even when we disagree with each other!
