Serving


FOOD SHELF
Merrick’s food shelf is open here at Woodland Hills on Mondays at 3:00 pm and Wednesdays/Thursdays at 10:00 am. This food shelf is for residents of Maplewood and St. Paul and serves fifty families each time.

FUNERAL MINISTRY
Help families through a difficult time by helping set up, serve, and clean after a funeral luncheon.

HEROES GATE (CHILDREN’S MINISTRY)
With so many families here, the kids’ ministry is a vital part of our weekends. Without it, we would grind to a halt.

MEALS OF LOVE
Help make and bring meals to regular attendees who are experiencing a time of distress, illness, hospitalization or pain.

MEALS ON WHEELS
In partnership with Merrick Community Services (an on-site partnership), meals are delivered to those 60 and older or those under 60 who are certified disabled. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm.

MEDIA & TECH
From cameras to sound boards, this team uses technology to support both our worship services and the podrishioner community.

PRAYER
After worship services, the intercessory team prays for people’s needs, including those choosing to commit their lives to Christ.

WELCOME MINISTRY
We work to provide every person with human warmth and care. We assist people, care for guests, and help out with the needs of our weekend services.

20s & 30s GROUP
Those in their 20s and 30s are invited to connect with each other through social events and serving opportunities.

55+
A community of people 55 and older who encourage, comfort and strengthen one another and thereby are better equipped to bless those around us. Meets the first Sunday of the month from 12:30-2:00 pm in North A.

ADOPTION
A community of adoptive families from Woodland Hills supporting, loving and encouraging each other.

CONNECTING SERIES GROUPS
During fall and winter sermon series we host connecting groups here at the church that engage in discussion around the weekend teaching and build connections.

CULTIVATE CLASSES
Classes designed to help you grow. Classes are offered Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30. Registration is required and free childcare is provided.

ECHO (7TH-12TH GRADE)
Echo seeks to teach students the story of God through weekly services, small groups, and all day events and retreats.

EXERCISE
Exercise group offered Saturday mornings at 9:00 am for one hour offering Yoga, Body Resistance or Dance with a devotional that follows.

LIFE ON PURPOSE (SPIRITUAL FORMATION)
Groups designed to help people explore practices that lead to a greater capacity to love God, yourself and others. Groups meet on Mondays at 6:30 pm. Registration required.

MORNING MEET-UP (CAREGIVERS AND KIDS)
Morning Meet-Up is a chance for caregivers and their children to connect. Meets the first and third Tuesday of the month from September to May at WH.

RESONATE (18-24 YEARS)
We seek to help young adults holistically shape their lives around the Kingdom of God. In addition to weekly mentoring, we host weekly house groups, social events, and monthly gatherings the first Wednesday of each month from 7:00-9:00 pm.

Healing


CARE PARTNERS
If you need help weathering a difficult time, Care Partners listen and respond with support and concern, and encourage growth in difficult situations.

COUNSELING
Counseling is available to Woodland Hills attendees who are unable to access professional counseling due to lack of insurance coverage or limited finances. Lay Counselors are trained volunteers, supervised by our Care Ministry staff.

PRAYER
After our worship services, the intercessory team prays for people’s needs, including those choosing to commit their lives to Christ. We also offer prayer appointments that provide time for a deeper form of prayer than is possible after a weekend service.

REFUGE (SUPPORT GROUPS)
At The Refuge, we meet the grace of God through music, dinner and issue-specific support groups. All groups meet on Thursday nights at Woodland Hills, and free child care is provided.
