Joanie Peterson is a full time missionary partnering with “Ministère Chrétien de développement International” in Burkina Faso. She and her African colleagues are involved in church planting and community development among the Samogo people in the village of Kawara. In 2010 the first few villagers responded to the gospel and started following Jesus. Then in 2013 there were eleven members of the Church who were baptized and are actively testifying of their faith to others in the village. The work of development continues as the founding of a Technical High School for the region is underway. She is also involved in hosting teams who come to serve along side of the national team.
On the side she serves in a local Church in the capitol city of Ouagadougou in the music ministry and gives music lessons. She has been active in missions in Africa since 1990.
