- I’ve been hearing a lot about Mormons in the news lately. Are Mormons Christian?
- How would members of a Church know if they are being led astray by their Minister and not teaching according to scripture?
- Is Satanism a religion? If not, what is it?
- What translation of the Bible would u say is closest to the original Greek/Hebrew texts?
- What do we need to know about Scientology – how to respond? What is it exactly? Is it a cult?
- What is the difference between condemnation and conviction?
- What do you believe happens immediately after death for believers versus non-believers? Do you believe that there is a place called hell that exists right now where non-believers are being punished/tormented by either God or Satan?
- When I was young I said I would sell my soul to the devil if I could be popular… Can I still be saved, or is my soul already lost? Is there any sin that can’t be redeemed? Can Christians lose their salvation?
- As Christians we believe that sex is something reserved for marriage. How can we convince our youth that this is the right choice when our culture is teaching the opposite?

On the sex thing. I went to a workshop with Dr. Doug Weis from Colorado Springs. He states that when a man has an orgasm he is attracted to whatever is in front of him. ie porn, a perfect body etc. Everytime a man does it, it is like some sort of “chip” in his psyhce. Weis contends that this goes on with every one so we have actual “ties” to every climax. So when we get into a marriage we have several hundred or thousand “ties” to others and other images so we cant be total with our spouse(this can be healed of course but it needs some work). So in Gods’ design if we only have sex with our wives(for men that it) then we are totally focused on our spouse and the intensity is for her and her alone. This, Weis says, is the ultimate in sexual experience. So God’s command wasnt for rules, but for us to experience a pleasure beyond belief. (Im trying to keep it short but it really changed my thoughts about God and commands so please forgive the rudimentary approach). So God created something so cool, such extremem pleasure and he wants us to experience it so he leads us down that path. It is not to deny us pleasure but to give it!

Hey Scott,
I would add that every sexual partner someone experiences, they become “one flesh” or married to that person. The more someone plays around sex, the more “ties” or the more marriages they create on a emotional level.
I think this is why the Apostle Paul said in 1st Corinthians 6:16-17 says “Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”
I suppose the take away is: casual sex is never casual but permanent in impact.
