Sabine is a Woodland Hills attendee, Arts Group member, and a part of our choir. Recently, she shared her story about a miraculous healing, and how that shaped the ways she follows Jesus.
A few years ago, I was diagnosed with kidney disease, and the doctor told me that either I had to undergo dialysis twice a week or I would die. Before treatment, I brought the matter to God in prayer. Then, a friend of a musician I know called him and said, “God revealed Sabine’s name to me and showed me that she is sick. God said she must do his work: teaching his words to children and sharing his message with people.”
So, I began to pray. Every day, I listened to a specific gospel song that spoke of God doing what man is incapable of doing. I prayed for others and shared his words through my artistic work. Later, the doctor asked me to come to his clinic and explained that something had happened following my last blood test. He saw that I was no longer sick—my blood had changed and was like the blood of a newborn. He asked me, “What did you do?” I replied, “Doctor, it was God who saved me; God healed me.” He looked at me in astonishment and said, “If God can do that, then go serve your God and thank him.” And I have continued to share the word of God through my paintings ever since.
When my husband brought me to Woodland five years ago, I asked God to let me sing in the choir, just as I used to do back home in Togo, and he helped me find Ruth Richmond (Woodland’s Associate Worship Pastor). The day we first met was truly mysterious. God told me to go see her, and my husband had come to pick me up from work to meet her. The road was completely blocked, but we asked the road work crew for permission to pass and they agreed to it. It started to rain, so we ran to get there. We saw Ruth, and I began singing in the choir.
Sometimes, when I am at church, I receive messages from God, or he speaks to me about certain things that I share with my husband and when we arrive at church, the pastor says the very same thing, as if he had been there when God was speaking to me! I see visions that I later depict in my paintings to share the wonders of God with people.
I am delighted to be part of the Arts Group. For me, it is a wonderful opportunity to meet other artists, share our experiences, and grow together spiritually, as each of us brings something positive to the table. Art is a universal language that connects people. I find great joy in painting with the desire to inspire, encourage and bring comfort to humanity. Each piece has its own story, inviting people to reflect, experience emotion and leave with a positive transformation through the messages conveyed. It is this vision that I am happy to share within the Arts Group.
I am thankful for the bonds I have formed in the choir and the Arts Group and I am very happy and thank God for choosing me as his servant.
Sabine, thank you for sharing your story, we too thank God for his work in your life!

Thanks for this encouraging story of God’s healing!
This woman, Sabine, has been so attached to the Lord and combining her art to the ministry was a great wonderful step to God’s glory. This testimony is another proof that God always takes care of everything when you surrender all to Him. Hallelujah 🙌🏽
