Project Home provides overnight shelter for families who are temporarily without housing. Woodland Hills has been honored to act as a Project Home site over the years and hosts families every night of the week during March and April.
Every year we hear from families that they feel very cared for at Woodland. That’s because we treat them like esteemed guests in our home. So although volunteering involves some food preparation and a small amount of administration, it mostly involves connecting and building relationships with the families that stay with us. Volunteers sign up for either a 5:30-8:30pm shift, or the overnight shift from 8:30pm-7:30am (weekdays) or 8:30pm-8:30am (weekends). These volunteer shifts can be as much as once a week or just once a month. All supplies, food and training will be provided.
