This month we’re starting to move gear from the North Commons to the Gathering Area so we can make space for our new food shelf partner! Our Echo students, volunteers and staff have been very flexible and generous – sacrificing so that we’re able to better serve our neighbors, and we hope you’ll help us return the generosity!
There are several pieces of equipment that we’d like to replace – think of them as a Christmas gift for our Echo ministry. Some of the gear that’s in the North Commons is old, and replacing it will make the youth ministry’s services easier to pull off in the Gathering Area, especially when it comes to the additional setup and tear-down they’ll need to start doing each week:
- Speaker system
- Sound board
- Computer for the lighting system
These improvements will benefit the Congolese Church that meets in our building too, since they will also be moving their weekly services from the North Commons into the Gathering Area. And of course they will be available for use by other WH and partner ministries who want to use the Gathering Area for their events.
We hoped to raise $13,500 by the end of the year to cover the cost of these improvements… you guys came through, and we’ve raised $13,826! Thank you!
You can donate online (just look for the “Echo Christmas” fund), or include “Echo Christmas” in the memo line if you’d prefer writing a check.
Thank you for helping to support the ministries of our church!
* Excess funds raised will be directed to the General Fund.
