Woodland Hills has owned The Plaza Theater property since 2001. Since then we had always hoped that our church’s goals could somehow get incorporated into the operations, and in late 2013 we began managing the theater.
Up until the spring of 2020, in collaboration with The Lift, the Plaza was staffed with young adults who were part of a job skills and mentoring program. Over the years, we’d also partnered with over a dozen local elementary schools by hosting monthly movie night fundraisers, and with the Union Gospel Mission by providing passes and concessions for their residents at a reduced rate.
We hope we can open The Plaza Theater’s doors again soon!
