Job Skills Program at The Plaza Theater

Woodland Hills has owned The Plaza Theater property since 2001. Since then we had always hoped that our church’s goals could somehow get incorporated into the operations, and in late 2013 we began managing the theater.

In collaboration with The Lift, we staff it with young adults who participate in a job skills and mentoring program. The Lift is committed to investing in and equipping youth and families on the East Side of St. Paul, and the job skills program at the Plaza is just one of the many ways they are doing that. Interested in helping out? You can volunteer at the theater!

We also partner with over a dozen local elementary schools by hosting monthly movie night fundraisers, and with the Union Gospel Mission by providing passes and concessions for their residents at a reduced rate.

All shows are $3, and just $2 on Tuesdays. (No different ticket prices for kids or seniors) There is an ATM in the lobby in case you need it, or all major credit cards are accepted.

We’re proud of this partnership, and glad we can offer low-cost entertainment to our neighborhood!
