We held a Q&A night to wrap up our Kindred sermon series on Tuesday, April 17, 2013. Woodland Hills recently started moving in a direction toward Anabaptism and this series was a way to unpack what that meant for us as a church and to educate those that attend here about the history of the tradition. Once the series was over, people brought any further questions to this Q&A night. The total length of the file is about an hour and a half.

We held a Q&A night to wrap up our Tapestry sermon series on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. During the teaching portion of the evening, Paul and Greg provided a review of the Christian threads covered during the series – Protestant, Pietistic, Charismatic and Anabaptist – and also unpacked how our beliefs have been influenced by the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches. Then they opened it up for questions about the series and how Woodland's values and theology have been shaped by various church traditions.

Our Heaven, Hell and the Resurrection Q&A with Greg and Paul was on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Since the release of Love Wins by Rob Bell, there has been a lot of discussion about heaven and hell (especially in Christian circles). Following Jesus involves serving and relating to those living in poverty. There are more than 400 passages in the Bible (spanning over 3000 verses!) that make this point, yet this aspect of being a Christ follower is not often highlighted. Adding to the complexity is the fact that many of us do not live in proximity to people who are poor or do not know how to engage with this community. In conjunction with our Compassion by Command series, the Ultimate Compassion conference helps equip you, whatever your economic status, to have relationships with and serve others across socio-economic lines. The conference uses scriptures, stories and statistics to help you understand the impact of poverty and decide how to respond.
