December is just around the corner and that means Christmas! But before we get to Christmas, we’ll be celebrating the four weeks of Advent, and we are looking for volunteers to join us in a unique way.
One of the beautiful traditions of Advent is the lighting of Advent candles. These candles remind us of the themes of hope, peace, joy and love and most of all they remind us that Jesus came as the light of the world.
To celebrate the light of Jesus, we are looking for volunteers to send in a cell phone recording of you and/or your family reading a short prayer (which we will provide) and lighting an advent candle. It doesn’t have to be fancy, and it’s super easy! We hope to use your videos during our upcoming sermon series, leading up to Christmas.
