In 2020, when Merrick Community Services had to redirect their staff to only one location, we rearranged our own staff tasks and resources to keep the food shelf here running. Currently, food prices are increasing and some of our usual sources of food donations have dried up. We need your help to continue feeding neighborhood families! Why the party hats, you ask? At the end of March, Woodland will celebrate one year of running the food shelf in our building when Merrick Community Services realized they wouldn’t have the capacity during COVID. After crunching the numbers, our figures show that we’ve served roughly 64,960 meals to families facing food scarcity. Read More
