A couple Sundays ago, our children’s ministry, Heroes Gate, had a card-making Family Hangout!
The primary goal of a Family Hangout is to create an environment where families—both kids and parents—can connect with others at Woodland.
This time, families met up for pizza and got creative in card-making! Patrick, one of our children’s pastors, explained, “We wanted a way for kids put their faith into action. We came up with card-making, and asked all who attended to create cards for residents of an assisted living residence in Roseville.”
To top it off — even though outside time wasn’t on the schedule, it was so nice out that after card-making, families merged outside for kids to play on the playground. Sounds like it was a fun and successful day!
