As the saying goes, “They grow up so fast!” Indeed. Our new Heroes Gate kindergarteners have tossed their sparkly mortar boards into the air as they graduated from the early childhood program into the elementary program.
Besides sparkly hats, the ceremony, held on September 1, involved a special time of prayer, and each kiddo received a “Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids” signed by the Heroes Gate staff.
Karyn Carlson, our Children’s Creative Arts Specialist, said, “I hope as these kids move up to our elementary program, that they learn more and more about how very special they are because of who God is. In their early childhood years, they learn about how God loves them, and how he cares for them. I know that as they get older, they will have to face the harshness of this world and not everything will turn out the way we expect it to. I hope that each and every one of them, when they are confronted with times that challenge them, will know enough about God so that they can trust him and know that he is with them each step of the way.”
Congrats kindergarteners, you are definitely special and loved!
