Last Wednesday, staff and volunteers from Heroes Gate (our children’s ministry) hosted a Reverse Parade at Woodland Hills. While honoring social distancing, they spread out along the front sidewalk of the church to wave hello, chat from a safe distance and hand out prepackaged snacks and activities for kids. Fifteen volunteers dressed up in costumes (masks and gloves included), played musical instruments and held signs that said, “I’m so excited to see you.” Twenty-six cars showed up with fifty plus kids. Your family is invited to join us at Woodland Hills for a REVERSE PARADE! The Heroes Gate staff and volunteers will honor social distancing by spreading out along the front sidewalk at the church. They are excited to wave, say hello, and even chat from a safe distance with your kids (while they stay safe inside your car). You just drive through the front parking lot slowly. Calling all Kindergarten-6th graders from Heroes Gate! We are hosting our first ever Zoom game night! This will be a series of interactive games that the entire family can play, but will target the elementary age group primarily. Trout Lake Day Camp is back! Kids completing Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to an awesome experience of camp right here at our church. They will enjoy water fun, inflatables, archery, games, snacks, live worship, wonderful bible lessons, and much more. Read More
Each year leading up to Christmas, Heroes Gate (Woodland’s children’s ministry) decorates Christmas trees with mittens, teddy bears and red circle ornaments. Though the trees are beautiful, they serve a much greater purpose than just spreading holiday cheer. Each ornament represents a gift for a child in need. Recipients include WH attendees, The Refuge, The LIFT, Close to My Heart (preschool), Voice in the Wilderness, and other ministries. Read More
