It’s hard to believe, but most students in our community are back to school and thanks to you, we’ve provided 200 fully supplied backpacks to those in need! Our recent school supplies drive was a great success. Read More
It’s back to school time! However, many parents are unable to provide the basic school supplies their children need, and schools across the country are facing severe budget cuts, resulting in lack of funds to purchase necessary supplies. We’re happy to be partnering with Merrick, The Lift, and Voice in the Wilderness to help these families start the school year off with confidence, through purchasing backpacks filled with supplies. Over the past eleven years, Woodland Hills has had the honor to act as a Project Home site for families in the area who are temporarily without housing. This year, we hosted throughout March and April. Here are some photos of an average night! Read More
Woodland actively supports the chronically homeless through our partnerships with Todd and Gabrielle’s organizations. We are a home base for WWAP storage as they meet the immediate needs of the homeless by providing clothing, food and camping supplies. We also work closely with Gabrielle as she dives deeper into affordable housing options. It is her mission to inspire a “Community First” response to homelessness based off of the Mobile Loaves & Fishes tiny homes in Austin, TX. It is our shared hope to create a “demonstration settlement” of tiny homes to introduce to our community, other churches and local officials. We are grateful to be a part of this Kingdom work. This week a new partner organization moved into our building! Since 2014, Walking With A Purpose has gathered clothing, food and camping supplies and given them directly to our chronically homeless neighbors in the St. Paul area. WWAP spends time building relationships with people, finds out what their needs are, and assists them with love and compassion. Read More
Operation Joy is a yearly tradition that exists to provide gifts to families in need who are connected to Woodland or one of our partner organizations. 2018 was our 14th year of Operation Joy! Read More
Mennonite Disaster Service is a volunteer network of Anabaptist churches dedicated to responding to natural and man-made disasters. MDS volunteers provide the skills and labor needed to respond, rebuild and restore homes in the wake of a tragedy. Read More
As more of the world moves into cities, urban churches are reaching a critical segment of the population and need outside support to thrive in ministry. By coming alongside churches that we already have partnerships with, we can be a part of the important work they’re doing to serve urban neighborhoods in St. Paul and Minneapolis. Read More
