The Corner Shelf March Food Drive Success!

Posted on

Success!

Thanks so much for your generous support for the Corner Shelf, and our neighbors in need. We were able to collect WAY more than our goal, which will be a great blessing to the clients of our food shelf. We appreciate your partnership and support!

(Below is the original information about the food drive.)

March is Food Nutrition Month, so throughout the month of March, we’ll be collecting food for our food shelf, the Corner Shelf! Our goal is to raise 2,000 pounds of food – so far we’re at 551!

Below you can find a list of our most requested items and how to donate.

Most Requested Food Items

  • Cooking oil
  • Rice

  • Dry pasta
  • Pasta sauce
  • Macaroni & cheese
  • Tuna & Hamburger Helper
  • Ramen noodles

How to donate

Drop your items off on Sunday mornings in the shopping carts found at the main entrance or at the Heroes Gate entrance. Please no expired, open or very damaged items as we would have to dispose of those.

Any questions can be directed to Paula at pbowlby@whchurch.org or Kinsey at kzafke@whchurch.org. You can also leave a message on the Corner Shelf voicemail at 651-287-3000.

Let’s show our support for The Corner Shelf and our neighbors in need!

"We have been podrishioners for several months. Our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids moved back to California after living in MN for 10 years. They attended Woodland Hills for about a year before they moved. Now we all go to the beach together on Thursdays, come home and have dinner together, then we watch last Sunday’s sermon together. It is a special day for our family."
