Conflict in the world seems to be on the increase. The lack of peace in the world around us has its origins in the human heart.
God created us with a vacuum in our heart, so that we would need a continuous supply of his love. In a fallen world, people don’t always receive his love. So, they try to fill the vacuum with other things, things that can’t satisfy the inner hunger. Thus, there isn’t peace in the heart, and there isn’t peace in the world.
But, peace is possible through Christ. In fact, the Bible says Jesus is our peace. When we allow him to satisfy the hunger of our soul, we will have enough peace to share.
Hide Extended Summary14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
"I am a podrishioner that just wanted to say thanks for sharing Woodland Hills through podcasts and videos. This is my place to get a spiritual refill, and it’s where I get most of my teaching from. Since I've starting following you four years ago, my view on God, myself and other people has radically been changed. Thanks so much, and keep sharing the Kingdom!"
