Catholic Charities Housing Stability Division, one of our on-site partners, is also involved with an emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness. Right now, the most-needed items at the shelter are full-size blankets. Each family member who comes to the shelter is provided with a blanket, and currently these are in very short supply.
This shelter is just down the road from us, and as we’ve partnered with them several times in the past, we want to partner with them again.
Our goal: collect 100 new, full-size blankets/quilts in two weeks.
And we’ve done it! You guys came through quick! With the combination of blankets and money donations, we’ve collected about 150 blankets total!
