Blankets and Masks for Maplewood Shelter

Posted on

To all our crafty people: we’ve got a warm and snuggly project for you! This Christmas, we are gathering blankets and masks for the Maplewood Shelter. It’s something they always need and it’s a fun family project, too.

We plan to make 35-40 blankets and about 100 masks (both adult and kid sizes). If you need a blanket-making kit to get you started, you can find one here at JoAnn Fabrics.

Of course you are also welcome to purchase ready-made blankets and masks!

A special “blanket-collecting” container will be out by the front doors at Woodland. Please deliver your gifts by December 15th and feel free to include a fun card for added cheer.

The virus is not gone, but neither are we, so let’s show up for our neighbors!

For more info contact Mary at manderson@whchurch.org or 651-287-2059.
