Good Friday & Easter 2021
We welcome you to join us for two upcoming special services! On Friday, April 2 at 7pm, we’ll hold a special live-streamed service for Good Friday as we reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice. Along with worship and some unique reflections, we will also participate in virtual communion. Are you ready for some safe family fun? We’re hosting an outdoor Easter egg hunt right on our front lawn with fun activities for kids of all ages. Each family will be assigned the task of finding twelve multicolored eggs including a bonus golden egg for a special prize. Read More
The Gift of a Good Meal
Why the party hats, you ask? At the end of March, Woodland will celebrate one year of running the food shelf in our building when Merrick Community Services realized they wouldn’t have the capacity during COVID. After crunching the numbers, our figures show that we’ve served roughly 64,960 meals to families facing food scarcity. Read More

Both Rachel and her dad discovered Woodland through Greg’s books. Chris says, “What I like about WH is the stance on simply loving others and social justice, as well as openness to questions. Meeting the Challenge of Distance Learning
In fall 2020, Woodland joined our partners at The Lift and Close to My Heart daycare to begin a distance learning program for 32 students who were grades K-6 with one 7th grader. Many of you will remember our Working Parents Fundraiser that raised money to help support the effort. Now that many of these students have returned to in-person learning we want you to know just what an impact you helped make for these families during the height of COVID. Read More
