1 Thessalonians 5:11 “…encourage one another and build each other up…”
In his sermon, Watch Your Words, Greg talked about the power of words to do both good and harm. As a congregation we want to take the opportunity to use our words for good by sending out notes of encouragement to people in our lives. Here’s how:
Think of someone you know—friend, teacher, coworker, neighbor, family member—who could use an encouraging word. Then print off one of these postcards, write some encouragement and mail it.
Some ideas:
- Name a quality you appreciate in them and say why you value them.
- Tell them a good thing they’ve done recently that you noticed.
- Thank them for who they are in your life.
- Offer words of comfort if they are in a tough spot and let them know you’re there for them.
Have fun!
