In 33 years as a church, we’ve never had a Sunday quite like last weekend, when right in the middle of announcements, zap—the lights went out!
But, as you can see in the photos below, we managed to keep rolling. Dan preached with his loudest voice, reading his notes by phone flashlight, which Greg later described as watching a little Tinker Bell light dance around.
Of course the lights turned on right as we were locking up the building— what else would you expect? We appreciate everybody’s sense of humor and patience with us as we shared this hopefully once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
A special shout out to the Heroes Gate staff and volunteers who kept the kids focused and engaged throughout.
