Above The Clouds

• Greg Boyd

Clouds can bring rain and refreshment to the Earth. But they also can block out the Sun, and they represent ominous things in our life. These “dark clouds” in our life block out the energy and glory of Christ in our lives. When we rise above the clouds in this life, we realize that we should always dwell in the serenity of Christ. wh-bug

  1. Edward says:

    Just a point for thought.

Post-Ascension especially, it is stated that the Holy Spirit IS the very Presence of the Risen Christ Himself to the Church and the World. Biblically, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit OF Christ; there is no separation their personal presences. As such, what the Holy Spirit does is to re-present Christ in our hearts and our activity, as CHRIST HIMSELF works in, by, and through us. We work, yes, but we do so consciously in the sufficiency of Christ Himself working in, by, and through us…not merely us working in our own strength simply augmented by the Holy Spirit. There is a subtle difference there that I felt would be helpful to be made.

  2. Nathan says:

You have to be careful in stating that the Holy Spirit is merely the spirit of Christ. If that is the case, there is no such thing as the Trinity. Only God the Father and God the Son. The Holy Spirit is God Himself.

Been attending and being blessed by WHC for 4 years. THIS is the preaching I will share with everone when I try to describe my “bible church”. The BEST. Praises to Pastor Greg. Thank you
