Heroes Gate Reverse Parade

Posted on

Your family is invited to join us at Woodland Hills for a REVERSE PARADE!

What is a reverse parade you ask?

Well, the Heroes Gate staff and volunteers will honor social distancing by spreading out along the front sidewalk at the church.  They are excited to wave, say hello, and even chat from a safe distance with your kids (while they stay safe inside your car).  You just drive through the front parking lot slowly.  You can even stop and chat for a while!

We will also provide (all will be pre-packaged):

  • Popcorn
  • Summer event calendar (yep, we still have a bunch of fun events happening this summer in spite of social distancing)
  • Handouts for the kids (coloring sheets that tie into our lessons each week)

Did you think a pandemic was gonna stop us from having fun? NO WAY!

DETAILS
Date:  Wednesday, June 10
Time: You can drive through anytime between 6-7:30pm
WhereWoodland Hills Church (enter parking lot near Plaza Theater, then drive along the front of the church from south to north (Plaza end is towards the Youth wing.)
Who: Any family from Heroes Gate is invited!
Why: We want to connect with your family in person, and hope this will bless your family as much as it will bless us and our volunteers!

In case of rain, we will still have the parade as long as there’s no dangerous weather (lightning, etc.).

"Thank you for this ministry! It has transformed my life in some really radical ways. God has broken down so many barriers and exposed so many lies that have taken some serious burdens from my heart. It has given me hope, freedom and purpose I never could have imagined possible."

– Jenny, from Wisconsin
