Plastic-Free Products and a Local Store Option

In addition to the many wonderful earth-friendly products Greg shared in a recent sermon (Thank you, Shelly!) there are a few additional ones I have been using that weren’t mentioned. Here are a few more plastic-free products:

1). Use glass mason jars for hot or cold coffee with a silicone removable sleeve that can be microwaved, put in the dishwasher, etc. The sleeves come in all different sizes and colors to fit standard jar sizes and more! Smallest sizes fit around really small jars (think small repurposed jelly jars) and provide a perfect grip for young kids so they can also drink out of glass safely. Available at Walmart or Amazon.

2) Reusable Silicone lids for these jars are also available.

3) Glass soap dispensers with refill soap from Grove. The refill soap comes in aluminum containers. The scent options are lovely. The cost is comparable. They make dish soap and other cleaning products too. You can find this at Target or online.

Lastly, Bamboo Switch in White Bear Lake sells all plastic-free products including many Greg talked about (chewable toothpaste tabs, reusable straws, soap trays, razors, french press coffee makers, etc.) . This might be a closer option for some church-goers than the stores Greg mentioned in Minneapolis.
