Salvation Army Toy Shop Recap

Posted on

If you’ve been around the building at all this past week, you may have noticed cars lined up outside… and even more of a site, the Gathering Area transformed into what could be mistaken for Santa’s workshop!

One of our Seasonal Partnerships is with the Salvation Army Toy Shop, who distribute toys for children who may not otherwise receive a Christmas gift.

This past Wednesday, they served around 1,400 children here, and have a total of about 5,700 children registered to receive gifts from our location. Including other locations throughout the metro, the total number of children who receive gifts from the Toy Shop equals about 15,000!

It was a fun and busy week here, and we’re glad to have been one of the host sites for the Toy Shop for another year.

"We have been podrishioners for several months. Our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids moved back to California after living in MN for 10 years. They attended Woodland Hills for about a year before they moved. Now we all go to the beach together on Thursdays, come home and have dinner together, then we watch last Sunday’s sermon together. It is a special day for our family."
