In Heavenly Places

We have been promised every spiritual blessing. This is not the same as being promised every material or earthly blessing.

We have been promised every spiritual blessing. This is not the same as being promised every material or earthly blessing.

In the heavenly realms refers to Christ’s position of authority over all other authorities in the universe. Christ has authority not only over the powers of the physical realm, but over the powers of the spiritual realm (both angelic and demonic). This is why He is called the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The powers of this world may seem intimidating, but they can’t hold a candle to Christ’s power and authority. It’s the difference between the finite and the infinite.

When we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms, we also are given authority over the other powers of the universe. The reason we fail to utilize that authority is that we don’t realize our position. We let the world define us rather than letting God define us.
