Capitalism has proven to be the most successful economic force in the world. The factors in that success are a mix of good and evil. It feeds off of people’s God-created desire to be free, and also people’s tendency toward greed.
The Apostle Paul makes it clear that there are things about this system that we need to keep our guard up about. The hunger for material riches is a temptation, a trap, foolishness, destructive, and a heresy.
Money has a place in the Christian’s life, and in building up the kingdom, but it is not to be the object of our love.
