Our peace of mind must be based on God’s passionate love for us, not on the state of the world around us. We must receive that unconditional peace (which only comes from God) before we can become peacemakers. We must experience the fact that the world can’t give us peace, only Jesus can.

A false peacemaker tries to cover up and deny that conflicts exist. Being a true peacemaker means doing as the Prince of Peace did, speaking the truth in love. Being a peacemaker doesn’t mean getting everyone to act nice to each other. In fact, it is impossible to be a peacemaker without making enemies.
