Friday: Improv Show – 7pm
Join us for the first ever Woodland Hills Improv Show! Woodland Hills staff and ministry leaders will take audience suggestions and perform brief improv scenes – totally unscripted and (with any luck) totally fun! (That’s right – you don’t need to worry about being pulled up on stage.)
Heroes Gate and Echo staff will be involved, so everyone from elementary kids through adults should have a great time. (Sorry, we aren’t able to offer child care for younger kiddos.) We’ll also have plenty of snacks afterwards!
We know what you’re thinking – this could really go off the rails! Thankfully, we have an expert in our corner who is helping steer things: Dr. Samuel Jaye Tanner is an Associate Professor of English Education at the University of Iowa, and one of our SEM students! More importantly for this event, he’s taught and practiced improv for over twenty years, so we’re in good hands. More about Sam

Friday Building Tour
After the Improv Show (as well as on Saturday and before the service on Sunday), we’ll be offering a tour of the Woodland Hills building. Get a behind-the-scenes look, and see what areas are used by our partner ministries! We’ll meet at the south end of the Gathering Area by the Visitor Table after the Improv Show and snack time. Saturday Update: Indoor Music Fest this year
All the rain last night and this morning have left our front lawn very wet and squishy, so we’re moving Music Fest inside! We’ll have the same great music, food, and lots of fun for the entire family. Hope you join us!

When: Saturday, August 16 from 5-8pm
Live Music
- The Mighty Revivals (including Delon, one of our worship leaders)
- Not Dead Yet (including Greg Boyd on drums)
- Kids Stage with activities (before and between bands)
Food & Fun
We’ll have plenty of lawn games, family-friendly activities and food available! Popcorn will be free, and burgers/hot dogs and Nelson’s ice cream (all with vegan options) will be available for purchase.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and a little something to provide shade if you like. It’s going to be a fun summer evening, and we hope you’ll make it!

Sunday Service
Our Sunday service will happen at our normal time – 10am!
Summer Baptism
After the service, join us for our Summer Baptism! We’ll meet on the front lawn at about 11:30am; light refreshments will be available. Join us as we celebrate our brothers and sisters who will be taking this important step in their faith!
