The Power of Blessing

Words are powerful. Proverbs 18:21 says that our tongues hold the power of life and death. So, it seems, we are fully equipped to call forth God’s many blessings to those in need. The key in all of this is recognizing that God is at the center of it all. According to Christian writer Dallas Willard, “Blessing is the projection of good into the life of another. It isn’t just words. It’s the actual putting forth of your will for the good of another person. It always involves God, because when you will the good of another person, you realize only God is capable of bringing that.” Read More

Made with Love

The current coronavirus pandemic has left a lot of us feeling stressed, anxious, depressed and alone. As the Body of Christ, we want to support those who are struggling by offering messages of hope. Though we’re not able to gather together in person, we can still bless one another the old-fashioned way – that’s why we’re accepting encouragement cards and sending them to people in our own church family, food shelf clients and our neighbors in long-term healthcare facilities. Lenten Reflections

Easter is less than two weeks away and it looks like we’ll still be cooped up in our homes. Regardless of our physical location, our hearts will all be together while we fellowship with Jesus. We can still hold our hands high in worship, we can still reflect, and while we may not be able to share a meal in-person, we can make the best of the opportunities we do have. Let’s continue to prepare our hearts for Easter and experience deep intimacy with Jesus.  Read More

Good Friday & Easter Services 2020

Next weekend marks a momentous time for us as we reflect on Jesus’ journey to the cross and beyond. In a span of three days, we will remember his painful death at Calvary, and then celebrate his triumphant return through the resurrection. Though we are familiar with honoring this special occasion together, this year church will look different. Read More

Our Baptism Story: Michael and Monica

Michael and Monica were so grateful to share this special experience together. Since then they have been living out what Michael calls “Phase Two” of their faith. Podrishioner Profile: Becky and Andy Baumgartner

The Baumgartners are so thankful that Jesus didn’t wait for them to get their act cleaned up in order to establish a relationship with them. He showed up in their mess, as he does with all of us. Becky says, “He is the air we breathe and our source of sanity.” They are continuing to lean on him for all things out in Washington, and we’re honored that they continue to tune into our sermons! Podrishioner Profile: Katie and Jeff Luehm

Katie and Jeff are faithful podrishoners currently working as advocates for vulnerable children and orphans in El Salvador. testimonial-icon

"We have been podrishioners for several months. Our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids moved back to California after living in MN for 10 years. They attended Woodland Hills for about a year before they moved. Now we all go to the beach together on Thursdays, come home and have dinner together, then we watch last Sunday’s sermon together. It is a special day for our family."

– Dale and Patricia, from California
