Project Home is Coming

Posted on

For the past eleven years, Woodland has been honored to act as a Project Home site where we provide overnight shelter for families in need of housing.

This year in March and April, we will be hosting families again and we need your help! If you’d like to volunteer, there are two shifts available: 5:30-8:30pm and an overnight shift from 8pm to morning. It’s a fun night of hanging with the families and providing food and shelter. All supplies and food provided, you just show up.

Join us for training on Tuesday, February 11 or Tuesday, February 18 at 7pm where you’ll learn everything you need to know. We’ll meet in the Gathering Area.

We’ve added an additional informational meeting at 12:30 on Sunday, February 23. We’ll go over all the info, and give you a tour of the space where our guests will be, as well as the volunteer areas. Light snacks will be provided. Kids are welcome. We’ll meet in North B!

For more info contact Mary Anderson at 651-287-2059 or manderson@whchurch.org.

"We have been podrishioners for several months. Our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids moved back to California after living in MN for 10 years. They attended Woodland Hills for about a year before they moved. Now we all go to the beach together on Thursdays, come home and have dinner together, then we watch last Sunday’s sermon together. It is a special day for our family."
