Greg mentioned in his “1st Sermon” how you decided to continue not having communal services at the building and he mentioned how you are doing it as an act of love, citing the parts of 1 Corinthians when Paul taught about not harming other believers with your freedom, as well as chapter 13, the love chapter. I haven’t been reading the Bible very consistently for years now, but on Saturday night, I just read those very chapters as that’s where I had last left off reading in the Bible. It seems coincidental that I just read those chapters and then Greg mentioned them in his sermon (oh and I haven’t been watching the sermons consistently at all this year either). So I just wanted to mention that to you. Maybe it’s sort of a confirmation from God to you that you’re doing the right thing, although since I haven’t been very disciplined about reading Scripture, maybe it’s more of a slap in the head for me to wake up and get back into the Word. 🙂 Oh and my favorite quote from the discussion Greg had with the younger people was from Emily, “Jesus was the smartest dude there ever was.” LOL! 🙂
