We believe there is no good biblical reason against giving blood. The Jehovah’s Witnesses claim that the Bible prohibits the giving of blood, but the passages they cite in support of this claim do not seem to apply to this issue. For example, passages such as Genesis 9:4-7 and Acts 15:28-29 refer only to the eating or drinking of animal blood, but not to donating human blood to save someone’s life. At Woodland Hills, we very much support blood donation, as this shows a true Kingdom heart to love and bless others!
"The sermons and MuseCast have been so encouraging regarding the series on Revelation. Thanks for all the time you spend bringing it all together, and also for the music teams who have been absolutely amazing, the way they work together bringing us into wonderful worship times."

Only, you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. 5 For your own lifeblood I will surely require a reckoning: from every animal I will require it and from human beings, each one for the blood of another, I will require a reckoning for human life. 6 Whoever sheds the blood of a human, by a human shall that person’s blood be shed, for in his own image God made humans. 7 “And you, be fruitful and multiply, abound on the earth and have dominion over it.”
28 For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to impose on you no further burden than these essentials: 29 that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.
