Where marijuana use is illegal, this is an easy answer! We reject using illegal substances in keeping with the Scriptural teaching to “be subject to the governing authorities.” (Romans 12:1-2). But what about in a context where marijuana is legal?

Is it Okay to Spank Children?

NERDINESS:

This series has made me realize just how much parenting style can affect children for the rest of their lives. In Proverbs, the Bible says whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them. I don't think spanking a child with the rod is a very loving way to discipline them. What do you think?

We believe there is no good biblical reason against giving blood. The Jehovah’s Witnesses claim that the Bible prohibits the giving of blood, but the passages they cite in support of this claim do not seem to apply to this issue.
