When I imagine anything, I am fully aware that I am the one doing all the imagining but when Greg shared his experience of Jesus he made it sound like the experience was happening to him. How can someone get to that place in our experience of Jesus?
You talk about the power that can come from being in a thin place spiritually. Can you say more about what that is and how one can get to such a place?
When praying, I sometimes imagine Jesus sitting in another chair across from me. If I'm making a specific request, I then exchange chairs and visualize or pretend that I am Jesus and I respond to myself verbally. I find this adds reality to the situation and often gives clarity to my requests but is this kind of sacrilegious?
